Woohoo finally it’s summer and no more school yay. I have seen a lot of artist do this sort of thing and I wanted to join in on the fun XD. I love how these turned out and I will do the CMC or other characters soon. Like, having now checked out the rest of the artist’s tag on DB, my new Expert Internet Psychoanalysis is high school girl still waiting for her first boyfriend and projecting her fantasies about this future relationship onto every female character in range.

Cheese and Spike have personalities. Soarin almost has one after getting duped in the Equestria Games tryout episode. Brad and Braeburn are one-liners (which is better than a lot of characters that the Star Wars prequels rely on, I have to admit), and Dumbbell is generic after school special bully #452.

Shipping isn’t some big rhetorical personality test. People ship what they want, and if it isn’t lesbian/gay, who fucking cares, there are more lesbian ships out there with all the mane six already, so I really doubt one artist is affecting you in any way.
Still a pretty heavy assumption though. You’re accusing them of homophobia because they apparently have no gay ships.
And all the ships here are with minor characters who have personality and 5 out of 6 of them have interacted in canon.
There are so few male characters with actual characterization that it takes a lot of effort to invent straight pairings for the whole mane 6 at once. In my experience in this fandom, it’s usually rooted in either outright homophobia (which certainly exists in Ponydom, I promise you) or in a worldview so painfully sheltered that non-straight shipping doesn’t even occur to them.

Really? I don’t think I see any uploaded here under this artist’s tag. Lots of R63 self-shipping and shipping Dash with one of her old bullies, but it appears to all be straight. Really, what’s here seems to continue the pattern–I mean, they invented a ‘cool suave hunk teenager Snails’ to get a straight pairing for Applebloom. Whatta reach.
Good job trying to shift the narrative by using that ‘owes’ rhetoric, though.
Just so happens this artist actually has a gay ship. Not that that matters, and I don’t think she owes you one. Please go back to the rock you live under and never come out again.
