So it wasn’t made clear until someone brought it up here
I thought it would just floating stuff in hooves again but… I’ve seen them do this in past generations, but not once in G4.

Well that has a simple answer. Ponies are partially based on marshmallow physics. It’s a mysterious but basic Equestrian science.

your current filter.To me it looks like the line in the area of the hoof I said, so I don’t see how it’s a case of “sudden pony thumbs” but more “suddenly dexterous hoof parts”.
True, but I don’t think the “sudden pony thumbs” has happened before from what I’ve seen in g4. Just the thing they’re holding floating in the hoof, occasional marshmallow physics, or with Pinkie, a little but of tape.
Not really the same as it lines up with where the the frog and sole are at, so if they can hold things with their hooves that would be a spot that makes sense.
