I like this explanation. Could it be added to the site rules to help people understand the reasoning of the rule? It shows that the admins had no prejudice about the content and tried to the maximum to be inclusive of it.

We used to review stuff that could be considered “anthro foalcon” and determine if it’s too human or not to be a legal issue. That was fine when there were only a few such images a week. But then the rate in which such images were being posted kept increasing, and people kept pushing the line further and further, making it more difficult and time consuming to review the images.
 
Eventually, we just had to stop reviewing them because we were spending multiple hours a day debating if such images were “too human”. So now any new anthro foalcon images are banned, while ones that were uploaded prior to this rule change are allowed to stay, as they’ve either been reviewed already and determined to be fine, or we haven’t noticed them yet. If something grandfathered under the old rule did slip by, it’ll be deleted once we’re made aware of it, but it’s not really fair to delete images that were not breaking any rules when they were uploaded either, no?

Which means they’re saying “we’re hosting content some Europeon nations might consider illegal, but we’re not adding more of it”. So… yeah.
