I think that a lot of us thought that it was addressing the people who like applying fetishes to certain things in this, because there are people who will use characters as mouthpieces for their idea instead of the characters, so people, like me, didn’t like being told not to do that thing that harms nobody by a character that may not be likely to actually do that normally. Basically, us thinking that it was trying to tell us not to do that, and there tends to be a lot of people who think like that. Of course, I’m just one person, and there can be many other reasons like thinking that the shown character is drawn in a rather… fat and unappealing manner, or other things. Hell, there are likely people who think that this is a regressive left idea, or even feminists thinking that it shouldn’t be said, though that’s unlikely.
