I guess we’ll have to wait and see if there’s ever a conflict between show-canon and comics-canon to find out. Hopefully everybody has their stuff together enough to avoid this.
Also, if the comic is to be considered canon then Derpy is now officially a mailmare.
I’ll consider show-canon to be more “canon” than the comics for now…
I also wonder how much art is going to be based on the comics. If there’s any, I hope I’ll be able to at least read the comics somehow so I can understand where the art comes from (did that make sense?).

I’m sure the comic artists don’t go against canon but I don’t think Studio B and them communicate too much on it
I’m pretty sure they are canon all things considered. They are officially licensed comics after all. The comics probably take place in between various episodes.
