Same. M2 actually did remake some Sega games for the 3DS Eshop, (including Sonic 1 & 2) and even have a “Sega 3D Classics Collection” tangible cartridge 3DS game available now. There’s some good cheap Game Gear VC titles too like “Sonic Triple Trouble,” and “Tails Adventure.”
Interestingly, the Game Gear VC games have way more custom options then the NES, Gameboy, or other 3DS Virtual Console games. (Multiplayer is even in tact, provided somebody also has the game for their 3DS.) Including the option to have a 3D Game Gear boarder around the game screen. (And change it’s color too.)
Oh yeah, I’d love a portable version of Mania on the 3DS. Even more so than the Wii U. I love to play old school 2D games on the go.
Yep, looks like Sonic may be finally making that comeback.
My only disapointment is “Sonic Mania” isn’t coming to any Nintendo systems. (and if the WiiU could handle “Freedom Planet” it could handle this) I hear Renegade Kid (Makers of “Mutant Muds,” and other popular Indie games) wants to port it to 3DS. A portable version would be awesome, even one without 3D effects.
I’m thinking good things about the project game too. The team behind Colors and Generations (and Unleashed) can certainly make that game great with the proper time. Sonic Mania also seems to be a definite success. Legend of Everfree looks pretty interesting, and the MLP feature film that’ll be released next October…I’m pretty hyped for it. 2017 seems to be a great year in general with these coming up.
Assuming, they don’t half-ass the new Project Sonic game, but seeing how it’s delayed ’till next year, that may be a good sign.
