Still, it shows Spike does do things with the few other males around town.
I was going to give a snarky reply, but I worry I might get banned for that.
Since its from Discord perspective, we probably going to see him learn about it from Fluttershy who is about to leave. Maybe she will set up the next episode, where Mane6 happen to have an adventure in said place. That would mean no Spike in it but possibly appearance of Starlight Glimmer who will probably go with them.
No worries, it happens to all of us.
Happened before with Just For Sidekicks/Games Ponies Play and Made in Manehattan/Brotherhooves Social, after all.

I’m more curious on what Starlight was doing while everyone was busy doing other things.
I’m going by what the synopsis says. It mentions them leaving town so they must be doing something of note.
Why do they need to skip town to not be present for this particular event? That’s like saying Pinkie & Fluttershy must have left town because they didn’t appear in Applejack’s Day Off.
I’m certain we’ll see characters/npcs in the game that resemble (are played by) the mane six, and maybe the princesses and Starlight will be there too.
The screenshots imply that the three are the only consistent characters, any other appearance will be minor roles or incidental

What was Discord expecting?
It’d be a great opportunity to give some character to, say, Noteworthy and Caramel (like Twilight’s old friends got in Amending Fences) but it’ll be a pleasant surprise if it turns out to be true.
Well to be fair, there are exactly three other guys in the entire town of Ponyville. One of them’s gotta watch his kids and the other two would probably get all the dice stuck up their noses.
It’s supposed to be Spike, Big Mac AND Discord.
According to the previews, it looks like it.
