It’s even harder for people to grasp the size of the Moon, let alone the Earth, or even bigger things like Jupiter or The Sun, never mind interstellar distances, the galaxy…
 
And it’s annoying when you see Sci Fi authors lacking a sense of scale.

I’m still not entirely sold on Tirek, but that might just be me and how big I envision him to be.
 
Also, Sonata here appears to be 15 meters long, which is really freaking enormous in comparison to most of the things I draw – Spinosaurus, the largest dinosaur that isn’t a sauropod, is approximately the same length.

I think one of the hardest things for people to grasp intuitively is the sheer scale of man-made (or pony-made) objects. This pic does a great job of driving that point home. A few more points for comparison:

Also you wanted to know why it’s call “My Little Pony”, well before it’s called “My Little Pony” it’s called “My Pretty Pony” and the toy is a lot larger than the current one i mean look here’s the comparison of My Pretty Pony and MLP Gen 1.

Sorry mate, but this is actual size of pony, almost 1 meter: The pony from Equestria is not Shetland pony. It is called little pony.

the only thing that i have problem with this comparison the size of the ponies, i mean look at the shetland pony this breed is one of the smallest bread of pony.  

 
so by this thing they should be at least taller than 120 centimeter, if not they aren’t a pony but rather Miniature horse.
 
so the pony should be this size.

I never said he wasn’t. I was questioning whether we had evidence telling us just how huge he got.
 
It’s been a long time since I watched Twilight’s Kingdom, so I didn’t know if there were shots where we could get an approximation of his exact dimensions, and in the scenes he is in, his size is, to me, still fairly vague (my own estimates put him at anywhere between 150 and 500 meters tall).

I wonder why people doubt that Tirek can reach enought size to fight with kaijus like Godzilla, Slattern or King Ghidorah. And I saw this video, that is partially accurate: How tall was Tirek

The carrier is actually the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) which is its own class, not Nimitz class.

Yeah, well, I’m gonna make up the “Rainbow Battlecruiser.” It’s a spaceship bigger than the observable universe held together by hopes, dreams, and mostly magic. Actually, just magic. It’s infinitely strong and always wins anything Xp
 
Eh, just kinda poking at the “bigger is better” sort of thought people seem to have sometimes in regards to sci fi spaceships.
 
A WWI Dreadnaught is freakishly big. An entire fleet of them, or some hypothetical WWI-era super dreadnaught, would be freakishly enormous.
 
But that B61 - A21 nuclear missile is only about as big as a canoe, and the jet that carries it, smaller than a tugboat. Yet they could make short work of any sort of WWI super dreadnaught.
 
Even then, though, a fictional weapon that wins doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a better story.
 
I mean, I’m sure Warhammer 40k’s ships would own Homeworld’s, but… XD
 

 
I say that, yet I’m the one who added human vehicles to the mix. I just thought it’d be an interesting reference for any “Humans in Equestria” type thing - how would/could humans fair against Equestria’s monsters? Pretty darn well, actually, it looks like. And it’s interesting to get a sense of the scale of things for its own right.
 
You know, I’ve studied the space shuttle for many years, and I’ve never fully grasped how huge that thing is… What’s funny, though, is the orbiter still fits inside of the KSC’s museum dedicated to it.

Oh wow, look at how tiny the shuttle is on that one. The NSS Valkyria would probably compare to the Star Trek Space Dock, or a bit bigger… The Meteor Bomb would be as big as the entire image and about 2/3 of it is balefire. That’s scary. One couldn’t imagine how big that Balescream will be…

Here’s Weegee for comparison. The Egg Carrier is 789m long, so about 2.5 times the width of the image. I assume that’s when extended, and part 2 of Sky Deck is the part between the two halves of the field map. Part 1 would be below. I assume part 3 (the tilting section) is on one of the wings. I also have a headcanon that the shafts of the two cannons Sonic destroys are the same shaft where Gamma’s and Amy’s paths split in the Hot Shelter. They’re in roughly the same location.

Echoing some of the comments here. Comparing Tirek to the mane six after they went Rainbow powered doesn’t seem to suggest a big size increase from getting the alicorn energy.
 
One other gripe is that Sunset Satan should be about twice as big. She’s WAY bigger than even a tall person.
 
Other than that, I liked the first iteration of this chart and even enjoy most the additions here.

Jeff Russell would be proud. Wish Starship Dimensions was still updated.

Anyone reading this chart needs to read the description to the B61 tactical nuclear missile.

Anyways, image is 5600 pixels tall now, but I don’t think it’s re-scaled, as such, the mushroom cloud from the Hiroshima bomb (Little Boy) being 230,000 pixels tall is still true.
 
And that little jet-carried munition having up to 22x that explosive power is still true.
 
And that being 340 kT, where multi-1,000 kT (megaton) weapons exist, is also still true.
 
Long story short; nuke beats everything. A lot. Even going a mile underground isn’t enough for some weapons.
 
Humanity is terrifyingly awesome.
 

 
You wouldn’t even need nukes, though; a salvo of cruise missiles can sink that carrier (if they manage to hit it - which irl, they won’t penetrate Aegis :p ), made of steel, so I don’t doubt a salvo or three would kill mega Tirek.

Horse sized monsters aren’t such a big deal when armored vehicles larger than elephants are “common” military equipment, and shoulder-carried weapons can destroy them.
