The fetlock technically corresponds to the first knuckle (that is, the ball) of a human foot.
oh in my rpg group we all call the fetlock as heels which isn’t all wrong considering they are used as such if we go for human equivalent.
either way i’m plenty sure that doesn’t look like just fur therefore looks like the “fetlock” is smaller than the hoof itself which really is odd but like I said the whole draw is very good

The “heel” is actually that backwards-knee like thing near the top of her hind leg, and is called the hock.
What you’re looking at is called the fetlock, which often has a tuft of fur coming out of it (see unshorn fetlocks).
