saddest thing about alcohol is it doesn’t help the people who need it. if you have no problems in life, it can make you cheerful and silly, and having a great time. but if there’s some horrible weight on your heart, drinking just makes it worse, not better. it makes emotions raw, strips away your ability to reason, makes you sick and makes you do things you regret. it doesn’t help anyone forget, and doesn’t reduce the pain of grief at all. hitting your head with a club is more theraputic than getting drunk over some horrible trauma.
yet people with problems keep drinking it, thinking it’ll somehow help…
