Description
Got a lot done at my Wonderbolts themed Thunderhawk gunship since the last picture I took of it.

This had been shoved in a corner abandoned for ages, (hence the looong wait for an update), but I’ve got a bit of a bee in my bonnet with it at the minute.
This is getting Spitfire on one side of the fuselage, (forward of the wings), and Soarin’ on the other.
I may try to get Misty and Fleetfoot on either side of the tail too.
Sat the Equestria Girls minis (these are my daughter’s) on it so the scale is clearer to people that don’t know the game.

I wish you good luck!
Hoping to have it at least partly painted before the convention in Manchester on the 9th of April.
Actually started painting the front today.
Might have Spitfire on it before the week’s out.
Yeah. I have noticed that. Loos cool if you ask me.
Painting it won’t be easy for sure.
Second post on the comments here, there’s a direct link to the model on Forgeworld’s website.
I think I got this pretty close to what it should look like. (Wonderbolts emblems on mine where the Aquila is on the official model).
That’s cool. Yeah, a whole lot cheaper.
Keep up the good work! ^^
400+ Pounds is crazy, I would expect it to fly on it’s own for that much money.
The model’s built out of plasticard mostly. (1mm and 1.5mm). The rest is balsa wood (bulking out the wings and tail).
As for size, it’s 20.5 inches long, and 17.5 inches wide.
So, yeah. Just a bit bigger than a rhino apc.
Official model is £425. This probably cost me £60 in materials.
And yes, Games Workshop wants your soul for it’s stuff.
On a silly note a pony here seems bigger than a Rhino.
Edited
My daughter’s got 4 of the minis. (Still missing Applejack and Rarity).
I’ve got the full set of the mane 6, but they’re staying packaged.
And thanks.
@Mrmildock
It’s taken ages to build this. (Actually these, I’m building 2).
I just hope I don’t fall short of the high expectations with the finished model.
It still needs a lot of work.
The main cannon’s unfinished, the top of the cannon housing needs details, there’s a bit of work on the underside, and it’s got no landing gear yet.
It also needs twin heavy bolter sponsons under the wing tips. (The same guns as those on the sides of the front).
