Description
Unlike Sonata from before, this one seemed more apprehensive. Adagio, as Sonata had called her, almost seemed like she was simply acting the part. She was going through the motions of wagging her big tail and resting her head on your lap, but somehow you felt she was intentionally trying to imitate Sonata.
“See?” she said, “Big cuddly seahorses. You see, Sonata has anxiety issues and we made up the ‘monster that almost conquered Equestria thing’ to cheer her on and boost her self-confidence… see? That makes sense, right?”
“That one has anxiety issues? The first thing she did was plop her head on my lap for an ear scratch and then lick me on the cheek.”
“See?” said Adagio, “It works! That’s why she said at the window that we’re not villains. We are totally not; just some people think we are after they hear me say that. Also because we’re big flying seahorses. But see? We’re big and cuddly. There’s no way big cuddly creatures like us could feed on negative energies, right?”
“Negative energies? What?”
“Oh that didn’t come up?” she said, “Good, because it’s not true either.”
You couldn’t help but smile. You couldn’t tell what game these creatures were playing, but like you had figured before they were apparently harmless.

Thanks.
I must say, I like your art style.
@ShimmeringStallion
I know, right?
It’s super cute. I love it.
He’s not the only one.
A sizeable chunk of my higher scoring pics here have been of the Dazzlings, so I do tend to draw more of them.
Never actually tried drawing their true forms yet, but I do have one on my to-do list.
I tend to go for ponified versions of them a lot of the time.
Kinda surprised no one tried to do this pose before. (Not necessarily with Sonata Dusk of course, but it’s never been done before with any character)
I can draw humanised versions as well.
You have brought up a fair point, my good sir/ma’am. At any rate, I am very happy that there’s still someone giving love to the sirens.

You guys really think I’d leave you hanging without the complete set?
@Victorious
Well… if she can pretend to be a human teenager for what must have been a couple of thousand years, I’m positive she could pretend to be a “big cuddly seahorse” for a couple of nights if it meant a warm place to sleep and a free meal or two.
I do like that my comment was heard. The people spoke and you delivered! Awesome!! But maybe she should be… less smiley? It makes it seem like a complete recolor of the Sonata pic. Maybe make her scowl or something like that? I doubt she’s too keen on getting pet.
Somehow that seems in-character for her.
Trying to keep her expression disinterested, but the body language says something completely different.
Now you’ve got me hoping Badumsquish does something like having Aria fighting the urge to smile while getting tummy-scratches, but her tail’s wagging without her noticing.
Pretty safe bet Aria will get done too.
This is literally a recolour of the Sonata one. So a quick palette swap and you’ve got Aria.
Who knows, the artist may surprise me yet with a different pic for Aria.
I would love a scowling version. Tsundaria would be so cute.
She probably will; there’s only three sirens, after all… but I DO think Aria should get two: One being like this, but the other being her with a more in-character scowl… or Tsundaria.
She might get one. I hope she does.

basically, the way I see it, their necks would have to be bent up at like a 90 degree angel to be looking straight up at him from the position they’re supposed to be in.
