It’s called fan-dumb for a good reason
you dont put this in a story! for you is dum but for twilight is ok! yes hasbro a could do better but is done is done, so deil with it!
lol
You reminded me of this
[otsositeh] - “(you do) suck dick” in russian
Edited because: Rule #7 - Above Image Rating
it’s more of that compromising that characterises season 5. it’s a way to defend your story against wish fulfillment, to where it gets boring b/c everyone has everything they want. “magic comes with a price” and such.
I would have had them grow a new library by hoof, myself, and the crystal tree gave them some other playset thing, like more jewelry, or just an actual (not castle sized) baby tree of harmony.
I’d be more peeved about the map, if the ponies just flat out accepted it and nothing went wrong. but what actually happened is that they tried to flat out accept it, and twilight almost went mad from boredom, while everypony else struggled to understand just why the map sent them in particular, and their lives genuinely got disrupted by the interruptions. even their glowing butt marks start bothering them, like it wasn’t an instant “morph on power rangers!” but “actually, this is kind of inconvenient, and a little creepy…”
Just to reaffirm this cause I feel it may have gotten lost amongst the storm that happened down there, even though I think the castle looks ugly and could have been designed better I don’t hate it, it has provided many plot points and has been the area of many scenarios within the show it’s here to stay and I’m fine with that I just wish I could look at it and not get whiplash from the clashing design and color from everything else around it.
I’m still on the fence about the map giving orders though it kinda removes their individuality rather than forming a problem to solve naturally like the show used to the map just points one out somewhere and then says who gets to solve it, if the map was just used as a magical map that could potentially be used to discover the locations of places they should go to it would be easier to accept but it just going this is where you need to go and this who you need to do it is not as natural.
maybe because the show creators wanted to just rebuild the golden oaks library, but they don’t get many chances for what happens in the show to have actual consequences. so instead, they maturely considered for a moment what a bittersweet solace it would be, if some crystalline tree had stupendous magic, yet could only do so much to replace what was lost.
then they did a whole episode in the next season, on how sometimes you can’t get back what you once had, but you can learn to make do with your new living arrangements.
twilight still should have turned the whole thing into one big giant library.
Maybe it’s because they didn’t want to make two playsets with the same colour scheme. Imagine: The listings show Golden Oaks, underneath is Twilight’s Castle, but the idiot distributor used the same image for both, so the parent has a 50/50 chance of actually getting what his/her kid wants. :P
See, now that’s not bad. If the castle were made of more “jungle” colors, it would blend better with the look of the town. Unfortunately, I can only assume that the toy designers already designed and produced the toys (pushed by the CEOs, no doubt) before talking to the show-runners. So the show-runners had no choice but to shove that into the show as-is.
Ja. Here’s one. :)
The design seems unappealing (and to some degree, an eyesore), because it simply doesn’t match the aesthetic of Ponyville. Period. If it were located in the Crystal Empire, it would be a different story. Look at it this way:
-If you’re insistent on keeping the location, then the design would need to be changed to match Ponyville’s “look and feel”. The way it is now is just blatantly disregarding the setting. Nevermind the fact that it’s just an excuse to make a castle playset to begin with.
-If you’re fine with a different location, it would look just fine in the Crystal Empire. No design changes needed.
I personally don’t think there’s anything special about the castle’s outside design. I happen to like it’s entrance and the hanging pieces (whatever they may be), but everything else about it is “eh”.
Never knew about others making different versions. Links?
I’m not kidding, there are a lot of good episodes in Seasons 4 and 5.
you really should, it’s the best season since season 2
I feel that I don’t need to. Not really that much into it anymore. I’m just here to follow artists.
Really enjoying this comic overall tho, great stuff! <3
You need to finish season 4 and watch season 5!
If I rebuild your car’s engine and it doesn’t start 50% of the time, you probably have grounds to criticize even if you couldn’t do it. Why, no one can criticize Bush unless they’ve been a president or run a nation! That’s an overtly retarded way to live your life.
