I still haven’t got the Basic Sour Sweet doll, I have the sporty one, though. Weird about Tesco. Surely they’d want to cash in on the new movie? I’m trying to collect all the Shadowbolts :)
@YateTiemeng
You should get a shirt that says
“Yate Twilightmeng”
@BlazingDazzlingDusk
I’ve seen Sonata and Aria in TRU at the moment. A year after RR! :P The characters from Friendship Games only seem to be at Argos, Asda, Sainsburys, and Smyths, no where else…and I don’t think Tesco have been selling ANYTHING Equestria girls as of late! which is really weird…
@YateTiemeng
You should try and get some! Be warned, if you get one, you’ll want 100 more xD
Lego and Disney seem to be the top two brands at the moment.
I have never seen Adagio in any shops, you could say she’s a bit of a Rarity. :)
It’s a shame she’s so badly distributed. I got her last year at Christmas but as I said it was worth it. Her hair is so floofy! I have seen Aria and Sonata in Smyths and The Entertainer but nowhere else. :)
For you know for a while The Entertainer was in fact the only place I saw the Dazzlings, especially Sonata and Aria together. It was rare to see Adagio full stop and last Christmas she was going on eBay for ridiculous amounts of money. Still, one of my local Entertainers has loads of Arias and Sonatas and Dagi is frequently there as well :P
@EddersCPFC
Everytime I go to Toys R US, it’s more empty. They only seem to focus on Disney really.
I remember when I was waiting for the Aria and Sonata two pack to come out and the first shop that had them was The Entertainer. I bought them at full price, then a few days afterwards they went on sale for nearly half price XD
Anyway, it was worth full price. Adagio was much harder to get hold of, I had to be bought from a Toy dealer online at an inflated price. Again, It was worth it. The Dazzling dolls are really awesome, especially for official merchandise.
@BlazingDazzlingDusk
Yeah Toys R Us is bare. There’s just nothing interesting there besides the enterplay stuff (and even that is limited now). As far as I’m aware, they’re the only UK retailer that doesn’t sell blind bags! And they don’t even have the stuff from Friendship Games in stores either! (near me at least anyway).
To be fair to The Entertainer, at least you can get any RR doll you’d like (including Dazzles :P) and for very cheap! Each retailer has it’s strengths and weaknesses in my opinion.
@BlazingDazzlingDusk
Yeah the Funko figures are usually sold in Forbidden Planet or rarely in individual comic book shops. Toys R Us sell them as well, although TRU UK in general don’t have nearly as much stuff or of a variety when compared to the Americans :P
I’m not a fan of The Entertainer to be honest. They do great offers, but that’s about it. They lack on variety (just brushables, blind bags and EQG dolls). Smyths is best for variety, Argos for quantity and Asda for exclusivity! (they sell some things like blind bag collections you can’t anywhere else)
@EddersCPFC
Nice! I like Smyths, The Entertainer and Asda! Those are my favourite places to look when I want MLP merchandise, mostly I get stuff online. :)
Smyths was the first place I saw the mini black Funkos, they have a lot of stuff you don’t normally see.
@BlazingDazzlingDusk
Yeah I like Smyths as well! I used to collect Lego and was never keen on their selection there. Since I’ve been collecting MLP stuff however, they’ve impressed me! You’re definitely right about the variety; they have the regular brushables, both EQG doll lines (from both RR and FG), blind bags, funko mystery minis and pops, and a lot of new stuff! Them along with Argos and Asda are my three favourite places when it comes to MLP merch. =)
@EddersCPFC
Lol, yes I do but If I’ll definitely check them out. Smyths is my favourite toy shop, they have quite a wide variety of mlp merchandise.
Thanks so much for the info!
