No, the original story was just awful.
I gave up on the comics long ago because of shit like this. Hell, I was soured on IDW’s shit so much, I dropped off nearly 2 1/2 years worth of these books in front of my comic store free.
Cooke is inconsistent, Anderson & Whitley are just shit writers, Fosgitt is normally fine but his style just doesn’t work for ponies, and Bobby Curnow is an friggin’ turd of an editor/writer.
