Good job ignoring my point with that Yale study. Either way I’d recommend watching This video which cites numerous studies checking several different areas. As I said before, it’s not a conspiracy by any means, and due to the amount of variables it’s impossible to quantify, but when those variables are actually accounted for the gap is almost always present, and that’s why the “wage gap don’t real” conspiracy theory falls apart, because even if it can’t be quantified it still can be proven.
 
Then again I shouldn’t really be surprised you believe MRA conspiracy theory crap rather than facts judging by that badge.

I’m pretty sure all the dozen plus sources I’ve put in access to say it’s debunked. And we still have the issue of “if it were really true, then companies would just hire women so they could save a tremendous amount on salaries. If it’s only a 5% margin, that’s still a massive competitive edge that will quickly add up to billions and let them overtake competitors.”
 
You can say all kinds of things about companies, but I’ll never believe they hate women more than they love money.

You have no idea what gender studies actually is do you? It’s basically just history that focuses on things that don’t involve shooting guns. The majority of wage gap studies are conducted by economists, and the only thing that’s been “debunked” is attempts to precisely quantify it. There are just too many variables at play to flat out say that women always are payed a specific different amount of money than men, but when you do properly control variables there is a massive statistical majority where women are payed some amount less. Non-quantifiable != nonexistent.

That’s why, despite however fascinating I find psychology, I go into physics instead. It’s ridiculous how we can find solid citations that solidly disagree, and we can’t appeal to any strong foundation of physical principles to state a clear, concise, firmly grounded argument one way or another.

Real shame. It was a summary of dozens of other papers that all reached the same conclusion. Economists thoroughly debunking this myth. Well, at least have this instead.
 
When an entire field of study exists and gets paid on the premise of something existing, then don’t be surprised when “women’s studies” majors perform “studies” that “confirm” that the reason they get paid exists.

How about you cite some since I can find plenty that show the exact opposite result. The most relevant seems to be one on unconscious bias conducted by Yale which showed that when given the exact same resume, with the only variation being names, people almost invariably offered a higher wage to male applicants, and were consistently more likely to actually hire them at all. Controlled absolutely all the possible variables and still showed a gap. It’s hard to deny the wage gap exists, but nobody is pretending it’s some sort of grande conspiracy, just a reflection of antiquated societal attitudes.

I’ve actually seen economics papers that have researched this exhaustively, with dozens of different papers and studies reaching the same conclusion: the wage gap is purely a myth resulting from useless social and arts degrees.
 
If it wasn’t, then companies would just hire women and save a whole bunch on salary costs. It’d only take one company to do it, then they could undercut the rest and the rest would have to follow suite to stay competitive. If it was even 1% true, then this would happen. Companies care about money way more than hating women for no reason.

I made it and uploaded it to sort of spite all the random SJW images that I see getting uploaded. I’ve since blocked the tag, but even then, whenever I try to browse Tumblr for stuff that I do enjoy… these somehow seem to filter through regardless.
 
I could go on about how a lot of Tumblr users manipulate their own tag system in order to get their stuff seen, such as adding things like “Doctor Who”, “My Little Pony”, “Sherlock”, or “Pixar” to their blatantly unrelated SJW crap, but I’d likely end up griping until the cows came home.
 
It just makes me really angry whenever I see hatred masquerading itself as social activism.

I can see why people would be tired of these and wish they’d stopped being posted, though in that case you should probably just block the mouth piece tag.
