actually that’s exactly what happened in the sinister six vs dr. strange and iron man fight.
mysterio noted to the others that dr. strange’s is subconciously deconstructing (in mysterio’s words ‘without him even trying’) his illusion so he focused his illusions on IRON MAN who did most of the work for them (dr. strange can’t hit tony back without hurting/killing him while tony is using his suit at lethal levels).

it’s a good show.

the ‘results are varied’ conclusion comes from him helping his students on a one-on-one basis while he did help them, the success varies from student to student.

I can imagine trixie doing something like that.

Again, character interpretation, but I could see her be fine taking up the position as a “challenge” but not as a permanent career and lifestyle. Additionally all this assume the same ponies that considered her a fraud and mocked her would inexplicably cease heckling her once she announced her career change or the flipside that she’d be okay giving up her dreams to tutor (at least a few) ponies who’d consider her a joke.

Obviously this is just my interpretation of the character now, but I would think the whole of her being would rebel against the “Those who can’t…” philosophy. Especially given the ugly stigma that frequently gets attached to it.

I find that to be a weak excuse if that is indeed their reasoning. They literally show Trixie as an outcast who has to resort to heavy labor, who briefly lived near Pinkie’s family, and who by every implication has no friends or family to call upon, yet they could not figure out a friendship angle for that storyline?
