After a bunch of stuff happened 1000 years ago with during Starswirwled’s adventures and Celestia and Luna’s initial reign 1000 years ago, ending with Luna turning into Nightmare Moon, after 1000 years later suddenly..
 
-Nightmare Moon returned from Banishment!  
-Discord’s seal was finally gone!  
-Chysalis and her army appeared!  
-Sombra and the Crystal Empire returned!  
-Tirek escaped from Tartarus and GOBLINS WERE STILL REALLY REALLY SCARY! XD
 
But yeah, so much shit happened since the time they all became the elements.

The 1000 year trigger mark for all bad shit happening where the Mane 6 were supposed to be, happened during the events of MLP:FiM. So its likely they were born.
