Just make a cake mould and let the cement harden.
Then either paint it or put icing/cream on it and it’s more or less indistinguishable unless someone tries to cut/eat it.

I sit and ponder the notion of creating a cake out of cement

seems impossible, like building a sand castle with completely dry sand

unless you mixed the cement with other cake ingredients, like milk and egg, then you’d probably end up with a mortar-like substance… kind of…
