I didn’t realize that it was a mark within a mark within a mark. but now that you guys say that, i see. although one thing… APPLEJACK IS A BUILDER DOG NAMNIT!
@Coltan Eastwind
Agreed, I like many others was expecting them to get their marks this season, (given how less “cutie-mark” crazy they were last season, and the whole “Cutie-Mark Magic” gimmick this season/year for the franchise) at first, I wasn’t to keen on the new marks, but the more I looked into ‘em, the more they grew on me.
I like how now, they’re going to help other ponies, and that being their “special talent,” and what their marks particlaly represent.
So they can still be the CMC even with their marks.
Our li’l CMC are growing up. (Sobs)
Basically this. I really like these cutie marks
You clearly don’t understand even basic symbolism.
I’m sure there are kids in the target demographic who can figure out the meanings behind the super obvious shit like the crusader crest shape with their mane colors, centered with an apple (plant) for the earth pony, star (magic) for the unicorn and wing (flight) for the pegasus even if they’d never seen earlier season stuff that would make the connection to the inner symbols matching up to their actual individually displayed gifts.
Nice analysis, would I never thought of it like that
I like them personally, They are like a cutie mark within a cutie mark.
The inner cutie mark represent what they are most know for while the outer cutie mark unifies them all as crusaders.
In my opinion its a really clever way of doing them and certainly was not what anyone would expect.
