Can you please rename this thread as “Hurricane/Typhoon/Cyclone Seasons” so I can do storm coverage on my side?
I live in the Philippines which lies in the Northwest Pacific basin where typhoons are formed.
Also for Indian Ocean and the rest of the Southern Hemisphere for cyclones.

Though due to the high pressure with Dorian, I’m a little bit skeptical about it’s winds being 185 MPH, You see, Everyone initially thought Irma peaked with 185 MPH winds but had a pressure of 914 mb, But in post season analysis, It was revealed that Irma actually had 180 MPH winds at it’s peak.

I thought of that as well. But based on what I’m looking at it, the whole structure looks way colder than Irma’s so that probably won’t change anything.
The storm center currently lies within a very warm bodies of water which made this intensity possible.

So her barometric pressure rose back up to 915 millibars and it seems like 910 mbar few hours ago was her most peak strength ever.
Still a monsterous Category 5 and a serious storm to begin with.

Mangkhut (905 mbar) and Yutu (900 mbar) of last year is still more intense than Dorian but her wind speed is greater than those typhoons.
