Links to the artist’s profiles are good, so mods can contact them and see which name the artist prefers if necessary, but it helps even more if you also add the additional tag to one of the artist’s images and present it with links, like this:

What if I want to separate aliases? For example, keep my SFW work under a different name than my NSFW work, so those interested in the former don’t have to deal with the latter. Is that permitted, or would they have to be aliased together?
