Alias "Trixie" to "Trixie Lulamoon" instead

Currently, “Trixie Lulamoon” aliases to “Trixie.” While this is fine in a vacuum as the MLP fandom only has one Trixie, it’s too vague when used on other sites, and so the full name is preferable whenever possible.

Other sites? Why are we changing a tag name for other sites? Isn’t that their problem? I fail to see the logic here.

Because I use a program that imports images from boorus, with their tags, into my offline database for personal archival/perusal. It’s called Hydrus Network. More specific tagging is always desirable, and this change means I don’t have to manually check every image I import into my system with the tag “Trixie” to see if it’s our Trixie, or a Trixie from another franchise that I don’t know offhand, or someone’s OC named Trixie. It happens just often enough to be annoying.

I’m also confused as to why “Trixie Lulamoon” is not only not used, but specifically aliases to just “Trixie.” Is there some policy to only use official names for character tags, and Lulamoon isn’t officially part of her name? Is it some desire to save space in the taglist?

In every example I can find with a cursory search, with a two-word pony name, the full name is used in the tags (even when one word of the name in isolation is an acceptable alias.) Examples from the first two pages of site tags include:

Why is Trixie the only exception I can find, at a glance? At this point, it’s not just inconsistent with tagging policy on other boorus, but inconsistent with established policy as practiced on this site. Should we alias “Starlight Glimmer” to just “Starlight” to match? What about aliasing “Izzy Moonbow” to “Izzy”? Or “Maud Pie” to just “Maud”?

I can’t speak about the tags, but…

Have you considered asking the author of the software to add a way for it to change the tags as you download images from Derpibooru? eg: If it says “trixie”, change it to “trixie lulamoon”.

I will personally hunt you down and break your legs pluck out your nose hairs with tweezers if at any point in the future this alias happens regardless of if it had anything to do with you.
