I’m gonna be honest as someone who is not unfamiliar with Eqg and Monster High, the latter seems 10 times cooler than Eqg would ever be.

Like high school with zombies and vampires sounds cool. Eqg is just… humans. Thats literally it.

What is the appeal of Eqg then? I’m curious. Maybe its the characters?

I imagine Maretime Bay as being like Springfield where the townsfolk not only know each other but are very crazy

I mean it was pretty clear that the whole reason EQG exists was becuase Hasbro saw that “high school but fantasy” dolls were really popular and they wanted a slice of it lol

As for the appeal, people just like the characters or find it amusing to see high school hijinks with the cast

EqG is kind of funny in a cosmic sense, since it’s a bunch of stock high school plots that happen because stuff from a parallel universe full of talking ponies keeps leaking into their world.

Why are Rarity and Twilight’s pets so hard to spell? Owlow- what? Opale- huh?! I have to copy and paste their names all the time!

This is why Twilight Sparkle will never get any belt in BJJ. She always cheat her way via magic.
