I’ve also heard they would take some notes from Gravity Falls.

Rebecca Suger herself gives credit to her time working on Adventure Time since most of AT style is present in SU even being Storyboard heavy

to note about boulder media: mlp won’t be the first show they make, as far as i can tell, their first show was “Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends”, and of course Lauren Faust created that show as well, which i think Hasbro decided to go with BM, because the creator of mlp g4 once work with them before.

Feel like my ideas for the generation are both doing me a disservice by getting my hopes up, and better suited to the crazy headcanon thread.

I’m just posting here to stay on top of g5 information. I’m both really curious and a little anxious about it tbh.

Meaning more of a reboot than a new generation.
 
Remember the designs that swapped who had wings and horns but kept the appearances of the main characters save for AJ which was turned into someone else entirely? That would essentially be G4.5: Hasbro being unwilling to take risks and re-using many if not most elements from G4.

even though I say 2/3 of the G4 cast are variations of those that appear in G3, and all of them are based on a character from G1.
