Would these be protected under the new category of AI-composition?
I’m sorry, I don’t know. Also I’m trying to avoid deciding things like that by myself. Whenever I’m asked this question I take the example to the rest of staff and ask for a discussion/vote. So, I don’t feel it’s appropriate for me to unilaterally say. If you have something that you’d like to have reviewed, please come to our Discord support channel and ask there so that everyone who would like to look at your works will be able to.

This site tries (as much as it can) to use rules and guidelines, and team consensus when reviewing images. And we are trying to make sure that no image, question for staff, or report has to wait for more than a couple hours before someone on staff can respond to it.
With our system, we’re averaging on average 3 hour(s) between a report being made or an image being uploaded and held in the approval queue and it being resolved.
The ‘if people upvote it then it’s ok to host’ process that you’re describing is an entirely different model, and I can’t imagine how it would work with this site, or this team.
We’re an international team of volunteers, all of whom have lives off of this site and only come here in our spare time to help the site. So to get 10 of us to vote on one thing can take 2 or 3 days.
What you’re suggesting would put everything everyone uploads here using AI in a queue where half of the volunteer team would have to approve the image before it would appear on the site. Which means it would go from being (on average) 3 hours for the image to be acted on, based on 1 person working based on rules and guidelines whose work is then later audited by others, to half of our team having to approve each and every image, pushing the wait time from uploading to appearing on the site to possibly as much as 2 or 3 days.
I don’t see how that would work.
And it doesn’t seem fair to uploaders and artists who have proven themselves trustworthy.
It might be interesting to create your own site though to try that. Maybe you could make it work if you had required or mandatory attendance from your team.
When the delition happens, will the alter the nightly data-base dump?
Is this delition handeled diffrently from others db wise?
I haven’t heard of any changes being made to the nightly database dump to special case ai generated
images. So it should work the same after the deletion is complete as it works today.
