When it’s an image from Derpibooru, like the one you’re using as an example, instead do it like this with just the ID number:

And then you get:
Are you logged in? To include an image by URL, you must be logged in. You can still post anonymously while logged in, like I am right now, but you must have an account. Then, you can do this:

I think the images from imgur stopped working on this site, Try uploading an image to catbox or searching for the same image on this site using image search (a camera icon in the search bar) to use this method:
When it’s an image from Derpibooru, like the one you’re using as an example, instead do it like this with just the ID number:

Final Edit: to use catbox
Enter here https://catbox.moe/
Download the image and drop the file in the website.
OR put the URL of the image upload via url.
Copy the URL and repeat the first method

I figured out how to insert thumbnails of images located on derpi into comments or descriptions. But how… make it so that the thumbnail is, but no a link that translates to another image?

But if it’s an image that’s on derpi, it should be a link. This lets people visit the image if they want to, and it also works with filters. Don’t try to put a derpi thumbnail and make it not link.
