Except it really wouldn’t

If development kit companies don’t jack up the licensing costs of their stuff by an order of magnitude because they have “AI and AI assisted tool” then AI in the hands of indie wouldn’t be any less exploitative than AI in the hands of AAA. And if in the long term an indie studio would be able to get to the point of running the sorts of revenue to become a AAA srudio, the way CDProjekt Red got launched into being AAA, then do they lose their abilities to use AI and now have to do creative work without any of the cultivated creative talent?

Many of the indie developers I know have too much self respect in their craft to ever go into AI anyways. Many of them get into studios where you do do development and non-developmental tasks, either intentionally or just an accident of being in a smaller studio.

I like to throw this in but is it really AI or machine learning. Its lacks sentience?

When planning The Sinking City, developer Frogwares envisioned the open-world setting of Oakmont as a densely-built urban area that was two kilometers square.[12] As the scope of this made handcrafting the entire town unfeasible, Frogwares turned to Unreal Engine 4 and followed the example of city generation techniques pioneered in Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed series to create entire blocks of Oakmont at once through procedural generation. These prefabricated blocks were assembled from assets based on actual early 20th century New England architecture, with blocks in different districts of Oakmont following different sets of rules to give each district a distinct purpose and atmosphere. Among the various generic blocks, the designers placed a number of unique buildings and landmarks, and also decorated the generic blocks with other assets by hand. The areas of the town designated for flooding also used unique assets in their generation, such as silt, seaweed, and barnacles, to make them stand out in their districts.
