So, does Boonboomger have its evil Megazord yet? Because it’s kind of becoming a yearly tradition, with Black Zyuragaon, Black Onitaijin, and King Ohger Zero.

decided to watch some of of the classic Ranger ‘spinnoffs’
VR Troopers and Big Bad Beetleborgs.

well… learned why they only lasted 1.6 seasons each.

bad writing, overt stock scenes and bland to offesnive supporting characters
and bad aa casting.

Yeah. I’ll also save you some times and tell you Masked Rider was also a flop and try the show they ripped the suits and actions scenes from. Though good luck finding metal heroes. That’s a rare find.

Sad news - Carranger’s Yuka Motahashi died yesterday. She was 46.

Whats a good Super Sentai to get into? I was going to watch the 1975 one first but dang it doesnt even have zords. And it does seem a bit dated.

Well that was before the introduction of zords? It was more of a secret agent genre before the first robot introduced in Battle Fever J and becoming of scifi giant monster action genre. With that Goranger does has a silly finisher later on.

Gokaiger has cameos from several past characters, but doesn’t require having seen any past seasons. I’d say it’s a good one to start with, and maybe give you an idea of which series you’d like to check out next.

Sentai + Isekai Anime!

I dont think Ill get used to seeing when it turns out the yellow ranger actually was a guy in Sentai but changed to a lady in Power Rangers.

Wild Force being a good example.

Any rangers show that was better than its sentai adaptation?

As well as the reverse where the sentai was still better?

I never really thought of that. I mean most of power ranger and super sentai did have a different tone and setting.

I think Dex Stewarts art has been featured in this video about sixth rangers by Este!
