I wonder if Doug will do a Disneycember on 101 Dalmatian Street - another show that ended way too soon and was fucked over royally by Disney.

NC just made a video about the 2004 Punisher movie and I might just check it out because I’m so curious what his take will be.

Punisher has become such a controversial character lately that even many people at Marvel don’t like him sadly.

Meanwhile, Deadpool is just as cruel and violent to bad guys, but gets away with it by being funny.

Punisher can be funny at times. It’s just that it’s almost always dark comedy if anything. One of my favorite bits is when Frank gets shot, he calms himself with the information that the pain will keep him from falling asleep. Another was when he cut off a bad guy’s fingers, the guy ties up Frank, and is getting ready to toss him to sharks. He talks to Frank, and tells him he put his fingers on ice. Frank asks if he put them in a bag separate from the ice. The guy asks why that matters, and Frank explains that direct exposure to the ice kills the nerve endings, and the fingers can’t be reattached. The guy thanks Frank for teaching him something new, and proceeds to toss him overboard.

My older brother has a Punisher patch in his garage, and he’s not hurting anyone.

And honestly, most “hate groups” are “all talk” from my experiences, so I don’t live in fear of them, and I don’t think you should either.
It’s not like the old days when say, a bunch of white-hood wearing lunatics were actively hanging people, and such.
I’ve seen videos of people chewing out those guys or the shaved-head Neos, and they oftentimes just back off, or run away.

They talk big online, but IRL, they’re very cowardly, and they have no power honestly. I don’t take them seriously.

Some neo-nazis, and such actually hate the president, because he supports Israel, and such. So I don’t think they’re all on his “side.”
(That said, I don’t love, nor hate the president honestly, and I’ll leave it at that.)

Also, that’s a pretty nasty thing to say to Cyborg. I understand he has some controversial or odd takes sometimes, but you seriously need to chill… There’s no need to be an angry brony all the time.

From stories I’ve heard from others… Yikes. that is the least offense, considering he does know my actual ethnicity, he would have more colorful language to say about me when in private.

But, yes. Since Doug Walker has pretty much had a redemption arch and is still going while everyone who had fled TGWTG pretty much became instantly obscure, gotta keep the thread alive some how.

Welp I watched NC’s Punisher video, and I was a little surprised to see he actually kinda liked it. He did highlight the dark humor and quirks in the film. Some of his jokes actually landed pretty well, I liked the bit with Harry Heck.

Normally I would ask the question “Why the hell is Doug talking about another movie he’s already talked about during Disneycember?” But because it’s Beauty and the Beast I don’t really care because Doug praises that movie way too much, so it’s a change of pace to see him make fun of something HE actually likes for once.

Ah, well since I stopped watching his content I wasn’t aware of that.
Still doesn’t seem necessary though; his re-review of The Lion King definitely was unnecessary because he just said the same things he did in his Disneycember video. The very least he could have done was update some of his critiques, or even acknowledge what people had said in his comments about the movie.
