During the interview in the Oval Office that Elon hijacked, his kid told Trump: “You are not the president and you need to go away.”

This has just reached a new level of pathetic. For someone like him to bear with such blatant disrespect, you can only wonder what kind of dirt Elon has on him.

I think that’s the same kid who went into a giggle frenzy saying “They’ll never know!” and “We can do whatever we want” when Tucker Carlson asked Musk about his contributions to getting Trump elected.

Even Musk’s own kid (yes the one who picked his nose…like father like son) was caught telling Trump to his face “I want you to shut/shush your mouth” and “You’re not the President you need to go away”. All the while Musk himself was doing his job for him.

Usually Trump only lets himself get told that by Putin behind closed doors, but nah man he’s so washed up it’s happening in the open now.

It’s a good thing Trump wasn’t wearing a tan suit or this would be a really bad look for the POTUS.

While there’s no bottom to the depths of denial and rationalization they’re willing to reach to defend their golden calf (most of them will get pissed at Musk instead), I’m certain there’s no way this doesn’t act as a “the emperor’s naked” moment for at least some among the most skeptical of (read “affected by”) his recent policies.

The wildest thing about all this is how everything Donald and Elon are doing isn’t the source of my outrage and frustration, but Democratic leadership’s continued refusal to learn anything from the past decade, call out even the lowest hanging fruit, and overall just keep burying their heads in the sand while they grease the wheels and expedite votes on Trump’s Cabinet nominations with only the most shallow and performative resistance.

Not discounting the Democratic electeds who do realize the dire situation and are speaking out, but they have no power within the rest of the caucus, because those geriatric ostriches have seen to it they be sidelined.

I can only hope more liberals start to realize the institutional rot that permeates their beloved Democratic Party goes far deeper than they can possibly imagine. They’re sitting on a long history of corruption that they’ve just been smarter about hiding, and that risks exposure if they resist Donald and Elon now.

Not all Democrats. I’m talking senior Congressional Democrats, the Minority leaders and whips. The ones that have the leverage to be doing a hundred times more to slow Republicans down, but who don’t. The ones who utterly fail to read the room, insist on doing the messaging despite being god awful at it (mild objections paired with continued platitudes about bipartisanship), and who keep expediting confirmation votes so they can get a three day weekend.

Yes, they did that 30-hour debate period…to an empty room with only Democrats.

As I said, there’s Democratic electeds in Congress right now who realize what’s going on and are trying to sound the alarm. But if Mitch McConnell could bring the GOP in line to sabotage Obama and Biden’s agendas while in the minority, I do NOT want to have Schumer and Jeffries on TV whining that they have no leverage so please stop yelling at them.

I don’t know, I look at the legal work that is going on to block or even reverse the chaos Trump’s administration has caused - alternate source if Times is blocked, and the recent 30 hour long debate to stop RFK Jr.’s confirmation, and things like Katherine Clark’s work to block Musk from gaining access to American’s personal and financial data (note - that’s the Democratic WHIP, as requested), etc, etc, etc.

But you don’t seem to even be aware of all of that. It doesn’t read like you want them to be active and using legal means to fight what is going on, but just want retribution. Sabotage even.

And you somehow seem to be blaming the Democrats for not making the Republicans support their efforts. Which seems odd to me.

So, for me, it just sounds like more of pic related.

I mean, if you think everything happening is the Democrats’ fault, fair enough. But they’re not the ones holding the bloody knife.
