Than why not print non-foil versions for people to play with than? Those who want the shiny version would still have access to foils. Funny enough, the only reason I bring culling foils up is because I was at a card store yesterday and saw a large Pokemon card that was culling quite badly, and was reminded of how MtG cards were the worst offenders of that with normal cards.

Nearly every MtG card has a foil/non-foil version, with the main exception of the really old ones, so it mostly works out in both people’s favour.

Yhwach’s name still looks funny to me. Kubo do got the name from Yahweh because he wants to make a “dark messiah” incarnation of Jesus Christ so that makes Yhwach the Evil Jesus.

I still pronounce his name Juha Bach than Yuhabahha.

My father recently told me about the play Shen Yun that described itself as “China before Communism” (because that harrows it down at all). Is it at all accurate or just propaganda?

All I know about China before Communism was that it was in a pretty chaotic war torn state. Whether duelling warlords, Communists vs Nationalists or resisting the Japanese invasion it must have been pretty brutal.

Though I suppose some places fared better than others.

Having to learn Chinese history in school, it was pretty much children/siblings trying to overthrow their emperor parents/siblings, the entire nation breaking apart many times, and philosophers hiding in places because they hated the government.
