The capital is a city called Canterlot.
The capital building is Canterlot Castle. It’s hard to differentiate the castle itself from the rest of the city, but this is the castle’s main gate.
The government is (as far as we can tell) an absolute diarchy, which is like an absolute monarchy except there are two rulers instead of one (hence the prefix ‘di’ instead of ‘mon’). It is “absolute” because there is no constitution or parliament to limit its power.
The two rulers both hold the title of ‘Princess’ and are pictured below:

Hasbro is a toy company. They make and sell toys. They have been making TV shows and movies to advertise their toys since the 1980’s.
MLP:FiM exists because Hasbro commissioned a woman to design one such TV show for them, then the scripts were sent off to an animation studio for production.

No, this is a fan site. It is not affiliated with Hasbro, and Hasbro wants to pretend it doesn’t exist.

Because airlines that do long haul flights usually offer a selection of licensed TV shows and movies from a variety of genres to entertain passengers, and some of these must be suitable for children. Someone at Air China’s headquarters decided that MLP:FiM was appropriate for this purpose.
