Not yet. I’m having trouble searching for videos for my specific vehicle; and from what I’ve read, it’s going to be a big project to take apart my dashboard. I’m either going to have a professional do it or just buy one of those power converters and one of those hot air blow driers.

Good news: I got my defroster to engage without taking apart the dash. Just involved playing with all three dials quite a bit.

Bad news: I’ll probably never see that penny that fell down my defroster vent again.

Is it me or is the new holy trinity looking ugly so far.

Not a fan of both McLaren P1 ane Laferrari successor designs.

Sounds like Subaru is planning on copying Toyota’s awesome hybrid system. Will make a good combo for the AWD lineup with electric motors in the back and CVT in the front, nice simple and reliable

meanwhile I have to decide if I want to wait to get a new Subaru or not, I am wanting to get a hybrid SUV this year or next.

I saw an Ineos Grenadier recently. Big boxy off road SUV with a BMW V6. Kind of cool.

I know a man who’s happy with his Subaru Crosstrek, but I couldn’t see buying it. It’s really slow.

Subaru just doesn’t offer anything I want.

In terms of reliability, the F-150 beats out the Silverado. (It used to be the other way around until the 2007 model year.)

Another year until my Kia is paid off. I’d like to trade it for another vehicle, but the government is trying to destroy the economy. There is no telling how bad things will be next February.

Speaking of things going badly, Stellantis is having a rough time. They’ve made so many mistakes: no midsize truck to compete with Ford and GM, no more V8s for Dodge, the Dodge Durango hasn’t been updated or brought up to modern safety standards, the Dodge Hornet is trash nobody wants, Chrysler only has one vehicle, Alfa Romeo is a failure, and Jeeps and Ram trucks are stupidly overpriced.

The F-150’s seat was perfect for my back, it folds in half to support your upper body.

I find Dodge trucks too cramped and small.

Chevy has always been built cheap, from the HHR to the new Impala, I’ve lost all interest in the brand.

Something I hated about the HHR is the A/C would always reset to an open intake, so you get possible brain damage from the exhaust in front of you.

If I bought a truck, I’d get an F-150 because I liked the XLT I test drove. I’d get one in Lariat trim for the auto 4x4.

I don’t think much of Chevy and I hesitate to trust the new Rams. I suppose I wouldn’t refuse a GMC if I got a good deal and it impressed me on the test drive.

Of all of stillantis vehicles (FCA or whatever) I’d say Rams are the safest choice in terms of reliability

Heh today I learned something fun. JWL means Japan light wheel, an aluminum wheel standard required for the DOT to certify safety standards on wheels. I got a new car and my car has the logo and it has always made me curious!

The RX is basically the same thing just slightly bigger and overpriced, they made the interior look identical to RX so you can’t tell much difference
I’ll miss the Ford Fusion though, this will be better in the snow and it’s nice to have a hatchback and it has the cool foot activated hatchback
CVT isn’t too bad either

A hatchback is so much more practical than a trunk.

The NX is kind of an odd choice. Why’d you pick that over, say, a Honda CRV or a Mazda CX5?

It’s a weird story actually.
Basically I wanted to shop only by the brands I liked the style of and I wanted a hybrid specially…
Honda’s didn’t have the style appeal I wanted
Mazda is a great brand, but the touchscreen situation isn’t my favorite…

Mazda probably had better deals for hybrids though I’ve been convincing myself that I should get a Subaru or Lexus specifically… and Subaru doesn’t have any hybrids out yet, so I stuck with Lexus. I’ve been a fan of Lexus for many years and was waiting/saving to buy something I really loved.
Ideally I would’ve gotten a sporty car or wagon as a new car, but I needed something a little higher up for the snow

A luxury Toyota does have its appeal, I’ve always been a fan of the IS 300 ever since it appeared in Gran Turismo 3.

Funny thing, I remember Ram made a rebadged Grand Caravan, before switching to the Fiat Vans (Ducato, Doblo & Florino (Latin & Europe-specs)).
Kleber Silva even made a mockup if Ram ever brought the Grand Caravan back
