basically self entitled twats (Audi and BM), ghetto twats (lifted trucks, black Mercedes), and soccer mom twats (minivans, Nissans and Toyotas). Somehow it’s the same pattern all around the world.

Esurance (my current car insurance) will no longer be covering me starting next month, since they’ve “withdrawn from the Personal Lines Auto Market.” Ended up going with their parent company, Allstate, since they quoted me for less than $400 for a 6-month policy (I own my car outright and have no recent accidents or violations.)

Less than $400 is pretty good. I pay about $600 for 6 months. My rate went up after I needed my car repaired after smashing part of the front bumper on a low mound of snow some jerk left in the road.

As a new driver I paid around £‎1120 for 7 months. No accident and no claim.

I’m going back to China so I sold my Giulietta a few days ago, thus ending a 7-month relationship covering 12000 miles across all the British isle. :/

Sounds better than the Milwaukee auto show. So, what did you think of the Charger?

Nissan Aryia Nismo is a real thing. Finally a worthy competitor to the Model Y? Probably not, but it’s close!

Ram owners are being forced to take their trucks in for a recall after the whole Cummins $2 billion Clean Air Act fine disaster. Nobody knows what this software-only recall will do, but states that require inspections for registration will require it. The Charger is a car I would like to daily-drive. With my luck, I’d be lucky to end up owning one of the basic V6 variants.

With the Challenger and Charger being discontinued, prices are up on both. The Pentastar V6 isn’t bad, but you know it needs the V8.

If I had to pick one of the three American muscle cars, I’d pick the Mustang because it’s the most well-rounded. The Challenger/Charger win in terms of style and emotional appeal, though.

To be fair, most gas cars don’t like extreme cold either.

I don’t know if it’s true for all EVs, but I have read that many have their own battery heating system, so that by keeping it plugged in, the car will automatically maintain a good battery temperature.

Range does suffer significantly in the cold, though. There’s no way around that. EVs aren’t for everyone.

They can but you have to keep heating it up. And that heat still comes from the battery.
A combustion engine doesn’t need a designated heating unit to warm up because the heat is a byproduct of the engine.
That being said a combustion engine also needs to pump antifreeze through the engine to regulate its temperature, but I feel that energy is negligible compared to the whole engine’s output.

The way I see it, in extreme cold you either plug in a block heater for a combustion engine or you plug in the battery for an EV. Or you park in a heated garage if you have that luxury. An EV is at a disadvantage in the cold, but it’s not unusable.

Good thing I’m moving south as early as a few months from now. It doesn’t get cold as easily the closer you are to the Tropics of Cancer and Capriocorn…which would be a bonus once we’re all forced to drive EVs.
