I wouldn’t be too worried about the lack of attention. It’s an AU with original characters, those take a really long time to get off the ground :D

Starting the new Year with another Pixel Art Doodle featuring my OC and the Changeling.

Also there’s the NES-Colored Team he and the Changelings must do Battle in the Style of Golf.

Giving a more dynamic stance a shot. The hands were a bit of a trouble spot.

Is there a word for two drawings of the same pony? Like, a sketch dump? Maybe?

… where’d those lines come from on the sides … is my scanner not clean? Ugh.

Some of you might know, but I had one of those “Covid has ONE LAST kick in the nuts for you” kinds of stroke last spring and am still in recovery. A lot of these drawings are a part of my physical therapy - getting my arm back into shape and getting used to focusing on a physical activity for more than 20 minutes at a time.

The tingling in my drawing hand and arm got kind of bad this morning, and I eventually lost the ability to grip the pencil, so this is all I can do today. But I am really happy with how much I got done this morning and am going to keep focusing getting at least 1 or 2 a day done.

Hopefully moving into doing three, then four. At least until I can draw this way for more than a hour before losing feeling in my arm or not being able to hold the pencil, or otherwise fatiguing out.

When I can draw for an hour without the shakes I’ll be able to start going through my sketches and inking them, which is a whole different kind of physical exercise. I’m looking forward to it ^_^

For now, the sketches seem the best thing to focus on though. I’m still remembering a lot of the stuff you learn in school, like “teeth have mass and volume” and remembering how they attach to jaws. All that “this is how faces work” stuff feels way less intuitive than it used to be for me, so I think I’ll keep doing these kinds of ‘looking up with an open mouth’ style poses for awhile longer.

Personally, I like the bottom drawing better. She’s cuter and happier and looks more like the fun gall we all know and love. And the upper Trixie looks more like the feral nightmare of a girlfriend who wrecks your house and then bitches that you don’t have anything nice. Honestly? I’d date both. Especially if they were just two aspects of the same person.

She’s just pulling all sorts of things out of that hat. Rabbits, Derpy, her opponent’s monsters :P

I want to ask this for my comic:

How old is Cloudsdale? Has it been around for a long time, if so how long

I know not right at the beginning of Equestria (unless the Pegasus moved their home city to Equestria if its already made of clouds)

Maybe some time after the founding but if so when?

I just want to to know in case I want to future or mentioned cloudsdale in my story.

Well, in Granny Smith’s time, when she was just a filly, we see some areas of Canterlot as just a bunch of wooden outbuildings. Maybe Cloudsdale has a similar beginning?

Maybe it was around after the founding of Equestria. I mean, the Wonderbolts formed around that time, so maybe it could be there but more old-time looking?

This is because my comic takes place in the 1800s (late 1800s (1898) I think) and I would like to show Cloudsdale during that time because it would be cool but also it would help in the arc when it comes to whether scheduling.

I really don’t know what happened between the first Heath’s Warming Eve and the flashbacks in the Zap Apple episode. Was any of that fleshed out inse the comics? Because I seems like we see something like a version of Cloudsdale when the Windigos were trashing everything.

But … somewhere in that gap you also had the castle of the two sisters.

Like … a whole era of a proto-Canterlot … and then a thousand years, minus Grany Smith’s lifespan before the founding of Ponyville …

That’s a whole heap of missing time that you could really do anything you wanted inside of.

Like, if the Windego-era Pegasus were the equivalent of our Greece, you’ve got enough time to fit a whole Roman Empire of Pegasus in the empty spaces in that timeline, and still have Luna and Celestia present for a big chunk of it before Nightmare Moon shows up.

Has Hasbro ever tried to publish some sort of more canonical timeline, like maybe through the ruins Daring Do explores? Or are those all strictly non-pony civilizations?
