I can’t understand the hate for us. This is, on the whole, one of the best Pony Image sites I’ve been on. The fact that it’s easy to use and allows me to hide stuff I don’t like is only a bonus. Those guys don’t know what they’re missing.

Personally I like to think it’s cause we’re not kissasses. Rather than going around kissing artist’s asses and kissing these “movements”‘s butts we just kind of go “eh whatevs”.
 
To tumblr though having a dissenting opinion or not caring about someone on a soapbox is the ultimate sin to commit.
 
I’ve actually talked to a couple people on the main sites and people who shall not be named, but the short version is that their idea of a “discussion” is actually having everyone agree with you all the time. As such any group that isn’t a part of the hivemind is considered a heretic.
 
The problem with the most of the fandom in a nutshell:  
 
To actually “love and tolerate” is the greatest sin in the fandom.
 
Tl;dr; It’s cause we’re not the jackasses that think attacking others is appropriate behaviour.

“Love and tolerate” was always a joke.
 
I’m not going to make a “safe space” where you won’t ever feel offended. Those become hugboxes.
 
If your argument is essentially nothing but textbook argumentative fallacies, you’ve lost my respect. I have NEVER seen a decent argument from certain places that dislike us.

Two I fail allot but do try to be better, It’s not easy but i want to love and tolerate those who i don’t agree with, Maybe not absolutely i am not interested in getting along with actively evil people, but I do try to not bash others for silly differences of opinion,

Let’s get away from talking about the fandom in general and more talking about Derpibooru. I’ve seen some places say that our mods are terrible and borderline SJW, and of course I’ve seen places that wait to screencap any comment thread of a humanized picture that has downvotes.

Correct, it was always a counter troll tactic and was never actually meant to be some kind of guiding philosophy. It was a facetious “kill ’em with kindness” approach towards people that were angered by pony posts.

I have my own opinions about the subject that I’ve heard some others around here share, but I will keep quiet. Maybe if more people learned to do that there would be less drama around here.

Regarding that issue there is no “winning.” Back when I was a mod and we were talking about getting rid of images that had basic OP IS A FAG stuff in them we were called SJWs even though it seemed that was what the bulk of the site wanted to see happen. Even then, we took votes and listened to the community and still allowed the images to be posted, regardless.
 
Then, when other sites that are SJWs come on they see things they hate (because it’s an imageboard that is pretty loose with content rules, as to allow the most freedom) and they say we’re awful bigots or some tripe.
 
There’s no winning. There is no middle ground. So, it’s best to not worry about it and instead only worry about providing the best experience for everyone involved that allows for the most freedom.

I suppose so. And honestly? I’ve seen some of these people say things that you wouldn’t believe. Like, they’re too far gone.
