With her we would have gotten a inspiration rarity… Much more fitting in my opinion

Of course we miss you… you are the god of this world, bronies all speak of you like you bring light to them. We do miss you, but seeing how the show have turned out when you left, I am wondering, would the show be greater if you stayed ? or would it be worse ? All we know is that you will still be the Creator, the one who bring MLP:FiM to life, and for that, we will always speak highly of you.

Honestly, the show is better off without you at this point.  
The writing has gotten much much better since season one and two and the weird transitional period that season three was.

I’d never seen the actual comment before. I can see why people would interpret it that way but it doesn’t seem quite as solid “bad sister” as I was led to believe by others. I still don’t know if it would have been better or worse though. I like it the way it came out.

When I first started watching, I assumed Fluttershy was Scootaloo’s sister, kinda similar colors, both pegasus. Eventually I realized that clearly wasn’t the case since none of the characters ever mentioned any connection between the two, especially in Stare Master.

She’s worked on DC’s Super Best Friends Forever, which I am sad never went anywhere. That could have been an amazing show if someone picked it up. I loved the shorts!
 
She’s worked with her husband Craig McCracken on Wander Over Yonder.
 
And lately, she’s been working on the Medusa film.

To be fair, she’s been trying to get absolutely anyone at all to give a crap about Galaxy Girls. And failing.
 
Actually yeah what the heck has Lauren been up to for FIVE WHOLE YEARS now? I would have thought she’d be working on some other show or something but it seems like we’ve heard nothing. What’s her husband been doing? Are they like….retired or something all of a sudden?

Just to correct the old ‘Lauren thought Dash would make a horrible sister’ thing:  
 
Lauren never said that Dash would make a bad sister,she would just be the kind of sister that Hasbro would consider too ‘mean’ for MLP back in the early days so she didn’t push the issue.  
From everything I’ve heard and seen, Lauren probably would have had Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash’s relationship be largely what we have now if she were in complete control.

Had Rainbow Dash not gotten all the character devlopment she got exploring her loyalty to her friends and her self-sacrificing nature, we’d still be stuck with awful Early Season 1 Dash being too cool for school and acting like an obnoxious moron all the time.

In that case, I’m kind of glad she didn’t continue on, at least with that relationship. Scootaloo’s story would be an order of magnitude more depressing if Rainbow Dash hadn’t changed for the better in time to be a good role model in her life.

Never mind the fact that the core executive team who initially worked on this series were equally talented industry vets who doubtlessly had plenty of their own influence on how the first two seasons turned out, before we even get to the writing staff.

I still miss you, Lauren!
 
For context: I still enjoy the show just fine, and it would have been interesting to have her still working on the show. I would have liked to see where it would go with her (provided Hasbro cooperated).
 
In the early days, I remember folks asking questions about the latest episode on her DA, and she’d provide a little bit of lore/background info on things or how she felt Equestria worked. It was neat that she was responding at all; I think a lot of fans just expected to be ignored because she was too busy. It was awesome that she made time for us.
 
While show staff obviously loves interacting with the fandom for the most part, I kinda of miss the special insight to Equestria every week. At least, while the fandom has a good relationship with show staff for the most part these days, I don’t get that same open feeling of sharing lore.

It’s a shame that a lot of her ideas got scrapped. I loved the sea pony idea.

I see nothing wrong with gratefulness towards Lauren for the show, but I feel by it’s implication that it gives lauren too much credit and it doesn’t give the other writers enough credit.
 
Lauren would have ended up with a fairly different show. Not sure if better or worse, but significantly more realistic in personalities (for instance she insisted that Dash would make a horrible sister for Scootaloo - which she probably would be; she’s rather self-centered when played true to her character).
 
While I don’t know what we’d have gotten if Lauren were back I’m sure it would have been something different.

She left before I started watching, but I still kinda wish she didn’t. I really wonder where they would have taken the show if she was still in charge.

nope I mean we have good/better people in the mlp staff so thats why nope
