Yeah that number next to the filter button at the top if you’re subscribed to an image you’ll be notified of new comments.
Also, does Derpi have a notification system I’m somehow missing out on?
What did you want from Mojave, though, it’s a desert.
Also, people could’ve built NEW buildings, in keeping with the theme of civilization restoring itself. But noooope, must miraculously preserve what-was.
You gotta look at it in a narrative sense if there were no standing buildings left in the wasteland the game will get pretty boring and you’ll always be at ground level no thank you.
That was one of my only problems with new vegas it felt almost linear despite being open world it was separated by mountains and it pushed you in one direction towards new vegas and other than the strip itself there were almost no buildings and what there was more than half couldn’t even be entered it was mostly flat land, the game was great especially the dlc’s like my favorite lonesome road which was full of buildings it was completely linear yet it felt like there was more to explore there then in the actual main map though they were mostly run down and shells you could enter and climb them which many of the buildings in fallout 4 mostly the sky scrapers could stand to be more run down tipped over and yet still be explorable.
in short flat land all the time is boring.
If you want it crashing and breaking due to incompatible data entries, sure. Otherwise, there’s Tale of Two Wastelands.
@Ping_chan
Huge, populated cities were nuked. Bethesda is greedy and stupid, therefore F3 and F4 exist with their “oh look at this so-called Wasteland where buildings stand after 200 years when they would be in ruins in just 20 in reality”.
Supposedly you can point the New Vegas executable to read the Fallout 3 game data, but I have never tried it.
Fallout 3 was my favorite of the franchise but I can’t get it to work on PC it just crashes at start up so I just play fallout NV with mods and I have the settings set so there isn’t too much of a strain on my computer so I rarely get crashes.
Fallout 3 is not fun playing without mods, installing mods causes it to crash.
Fallout New Vegas has weapon mods, yay weapon mods!
But after exploring the desert for awhile, all I want to do is explore massive ruined cities with all sorts of interesting little spots to explore.
It’s like if you play through Fallout 1,2 and New Vegas, you are left with that unsatisfied feeling that “wasn’t the pre-war world supposed to be over populated with huge cities? I know everything was nuked and all, but these ruins are kinda underwhelming…”
As long as I don’t get stuck in a rock or something or get corrupted save files too often I’ll be good.
a fallout game without bugs? sure, just as soon as halflife 3 comes out
hoping that Fallout 4 will be as interesting as Fallout 3 and New Vegas was… But with less bugs please. And I don’t mean cazadors..
I still play New Vegas fairly regularly mods help keep it interesting.
I loved the holorifle it was what I used it for a sniper rifle.
@UTTFISH’S
what about the holorifle from dead money? That thing’s a beast of an energy weapon, barring things like the gauss rifle and tesla cannon. energy weapons are by far my most favorite weapons in the game (second only to fat men, and unique variants), but DAMN are they expensive to use. also, you all suck for making me want to play new vegas again.
Damn it.
Mean butterflies!
NO GOD! NO, GOD PLEASE NO! NO! NO! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-shot
I would wear the vault 34 security armor as well I liked to wear authority glasses with it and carry around a police baton and just channel my inner security mare just for shits and giggles.
So do I.
Well, actually I play Energy Weapons but I love Vault 34
(no exceptions)
armor. Better than Combat armor and light armor, hooray!
I just feel from a role-playing perspective, the pulse gun is only a marginally more compelling argument than the vegetation and gives Veronica less, well, closure on the battle that claimed her parents’ deaths.
I always get the pulse gun from vault 34 because I have to go down there later anyway for the unique gun and to finish that one ncr mission so I just get them all done at once easier that way.
And it’s not even that good really… plus for non-evil chars it can give Veronica the (IMO) most compelling argument that Helios One was a mistake. (IMO the other arguments were weak.)
(heck, that’s the only reason I’d get it. usually I go for equal distribution too)
I don’t do that. If you’re playing an evil character that’s fine but I rarely do that and I meant I wanted more in terms of lore not big lasers.
