But Silver Spoon’s a little bit of a follower, wouldn’t you agree? If she were 100% equal to Diamond Tiara, we’d have probably seen her take the initiative once or twice - so far, nothing. There’s atleast some truth to the “Silver Spoon’s a follower” headcanon: okay, maybe she’s not as much of a follower as Spoon’s biggest fans would like her to be, but she’s certainly got some follower-ish (is that even a word?) traits.
 
As for the milkshake proving that Silver Spoon isn’t a follower, it doesn’t prove anything except for the fact that there are times Silver Spoon will stand up for herself. We’ve only seen her do this - what - once in four seasons? Honestly, it’s kind of pointless to speculate whether or not Silver Spoon is a perfect equal to Tiara or merely a follower without knowing anything about Spoon or her motivation.

No. We need an episode that BOTH characters have redeemable qualities not just Silver Spoon. I am a not a fan of the “Silver Spoon is redeemable, Diamond Tiara is not” fanon. I find that garbage and it never gonna happen like that NEVER.

I disregard your “facts” because my headcanon is just that, a headcanon. I know in the show she’s just as much a bully as dt, but I like to imagine otherwise.

Let me point out the facts. Diamond Tiara Is obviously the brains of the operation, no question. But I direct you to the “Redeemable Silver Spoon Club” evidence of choice, clapping for Granny Smith. That is NOT in fact the action of a mindless follower, that was someone who has their own thoughts and opinions and will to act on them. And awhile, again, this is usually used to support redeemability, I argue that this evidence that she CAN and WILL act on her own in contrast to Diamond’s agenda prove that her usual actions are done because she WANTS to. If she will so clearly go against Diamond’s standpoint for her own, than in fact, would her usual actions not also be because she, personally, want to?
 
As a supplement, the famous Pinkie Pride ice cream scene, where she quite clearly shows she does not, in fact, let Diamond push her around, and can and will stand up to her if so pleases.

I imagine Filthy Rich as a businesspony first and a father second: he doesn’t spend much time with his daughter and probably isn’t cut out for fatherhood, but tries to make up for his shortcomings by buying Diamond Tiara plenty of gifts. The only time he ever does discipline her is when she gets in his way somehow - like when she insulted the old mare he buys Zap Apple Jam from.

I believe DT has always been mean because she’s never been punished or reprimanded in any sort of way from her father, whom is probably the only one who she’ll listen to but at the same time seems like the child who would use her father’s obvious status as leverage to manipulate him, earning her a slap on the hoof at most for any problem she caused.
 
One thing I’d like to see or know about is Silver Spoon’s family and how she feels about the way Diamond Tiara treats her. I know it’ll probably not happen, but if Silver Spoon became friends with the CMC after being convinced Diamond wasn’t worth all the trouble she causes, then that would be awesome!
 
Also, you should. I’m sure most of us are eager to see it!

it’s my headcanon that silverspoon is only mean because diamond took her on as a friend before she could make any others (rich family connections and such), and being diamond’s friend meant she automatically had a negative reputation, so she remains diamond’s friend because nobody else will, and acts mean because of peer pressure.  
And I like the silverbelle ship because I see both of them as smart fillies, and I dunno they just seem to fit quite well.  
I need to draw some silverbelle at some point =3=

Admittedly, Silver Spoon doesn’t belong with Bitchface Tiara. Diamond is mean and Silver Spoon just follows her around for recognition and because she seems like the only other member of a rich family in Ponyville.
