Eh. This was basically my point. On review, it also seems like he becomes quite a douche while under the spell of the Sirens.

Something about his attitude there just came across as more than a little insecure, like he’s not all too confident in his own chances.
 
While there might be magic involved to make him more competitive, it’s manner he goes about it that caught my attention. He’s acting like his chances are genuinely threatened by her, while belittling her skills as a musician. However, he wouldn’t have any reason to feel threatened if he truly felt she was so beneath him in skill.
 
What’s more is that he doesn’t even take any time to boast about himself or his band. He just sort of becomes a total bitch, acting like Twilight did something to deliberately hurt him.
 
So yes. Flash is a big fat phony, and nowhere near as confident as a genuinely spiky-haired jacketed cool dude with a guitar should be. That’s part of what motivated me to make this.

I think he’s sincerely a generally nice person. I just don’t think he’s actually the pinnacle of coolness he obviously presents himself to be. I mean, naming a band after yourself seems more like something Rainbow Dash would do.
 
At times, he actually seems pretty awkward. His presentation would lead you to believe he’s this Rainbow Dash tier narcissistic cool dude obsessed with his own awesomeness, but he doesn’t really seem that confident or cool in person.

He dresses that way, but isn’t all the tough or confident. Case in point, me. My clothes on me right now are from HT, but… Well, I just said; lacking toughness and confidence. :3

Well, he still seems kind of awkward around girls, so I assumed that the pony girls just have a harder time seeing through his superficial “cool guy” act.

What makes you so sure he’s a “ladies magnet”? Flash has only ever been successful with weird horse women from another world.

i don’t think so, watching silver quill’s video he seems to be rich.  
from that i had the idea that it’s possible that he has family issues because mostly in cartoons where rich guys are in they have family problems, but considering the fact that he is a nice person i think he might seek out to help his family come back together but fails.
 
what do you think will that be a good problem for the ladies magnet flash sentry?

Oh, and he could always be part of the “Criminal and Forensic Science Division” if I wanted to secure a refrance.

Which is why I no longer think he’ll be a cop, like he is in Equestria and also somepony else with the exact same name and colours, lol. No, now, I like to think he’ll run a shop. (Nopony try to say he’ll name his shop Devil May Cry or I will bite their nards. XD )

You can’t always judge a book by its cover, so I thought I’d try my hand at doing a little twist with his character.
 
Besides, he named his band “Flash Drive”. There’s probably some element of hidden nerd to him.

Brad is just like all of us…well unless you’re not a furry.

Hehe. I mostly just put that there to imply that he was a closet furry. Has to be a reason that he tries to date any girl that comes through the portal acting like an animal.
