Well I ment it in the more over done cartoony comedic way but I guess the Internet exposer probably would lead to a diffrent impression.
 
This concept may actually be sort enough and light enough I juuuuuussst might make it into a full bodied and completed story. (I have so many half completed story ideas it honestly makes me sad sometimes.)

Goes to a window to enjoy a breath of fresh night air then “realise” she was trying to escape and puts a metal clasp around one of her back legs attached to an old logging chain the other end of which she hands to Harry who only give an annoyed/simi-defeated bear growl and just loosely holds it in an open paw?

I actually like the headcanon, amess. Though I think that little quoted part above could be snipped out, maybe just her forest friends watching her carefully. But It’d be neat to see this finally addressed:

Sighs Oh well. Off to fetch my vampire-killing kit and Richter Belmont costume, then-I ain’t gonna let that goddamn mindless fruit-sucking fiend stay in this show!

I was originally going to set “reply”‘s for all those discussing Flutterbat in this thread but after typing out the comment in a note file I got lazy so I guess this comment goes to any/all relevant posters.

Fluttershy has actually always remembered little bits and pieces of her run as “Mare-bat” and actually partly transforms on occasion under the right stimuli. She has never told her friends about this because she secretly likes the idea of being part feral bat pony since she loves animals and would probably find it a little “exciting” and doesn’t want them to worry or try to permanently “cure” her.
 
Ever since she was first “cured” she has been trying to remember exactly what happened and learn to control her transformation which is tied to her memories locked in her subconscious.
 
So every once and a while with the help of Angel bunny and possibly a few other animal friends (Harry the bear would be a good idea) she has herself chained up in the cottage basement while she practices transforming while remaining in control.
 
She has had some success in turning part way, her eyes, one ear, half a wing two of her six cutie mark butterflies (count both sides). After some convincing by angel and the rest has even taken off the restraints and walked around the cottage even making mock “scary faces” at a mirror. However she gets super self conscious of any “meanness” she things is taking over and over anylises and frets over every move she makes. Think super adorable Twilight snapple. This would lead to many face-paws by her animal friends before she gets to nervous and decides she must be changing to quickly then calls it a night.
 

 
Now in the episode she felt she had not only a perfect chance to transform in public without giving herself away she also felt it was important enough for her to over come her fears of losing control but also being in a dream state she finally had access to the last bits of memory locked in her subconscious.
 
This would also mean she can probably now transform at will in the waking world.
 
So what do you guys think? Yes? No? Maybe?

Perhaps her appearance was supplied by the other Mane 5, considering it was a shared dream.
 
…nah, that theory’s too boring.

I like to think she actually momentarily transformed in the waking world as well.
 
She has been working to get a handle on transforming at will and is having some success but this will actually serve as her first major breakthrough.

DUN DUN DUN!!

There’s something interesting hiding in this scene. At the end of Bats! Fluttershy claims that she didn’t consciously remember ever being a vampire, so logically she shouldn’t know what she looked like as a vampire to change back into one. Unless of course she actually still is a vampire and is just keeping it a secret…
