She did go to an all unicorn private school. And since she didn’t socialize outside of school (or in school, for that matter), the only ponies she met her age were unicorns.

What is this? I mean what makes some people think Canterlot has only unicorns when we have often see Canterlot in many epsiodes and clearly see that all 3 pony races are clearly present there.  
Like I mentioned in my previous comment, we still haven’t seen a city that is clearly mostly populated by unicorns.

Holy crap… All her old friends were unicorns. Maybe that has to do with her being interested in magic, and because of this she made unicorn only friends? I bet it was subconscious, but it’s still a neat coincidence.

My Little Pony - 1992 Edition

Presumably, all of these ponies went to Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns. That means they have magical talents well above your average unicorn. Yet except for Twilight, we’ve never seen any of them actually DO any exceptional magic, have we?

Yeah I’m sure there are pegasi in Canterlot too. It’s just hard to tell with all the ponies wearing clothes. I’m still pretty sure the writers and animators don’t pay that much attention to the amount of certain pony races in Canterlot and they just put them in there willy nilly.  
Cloudsdale is of course almost exclusively pegasi and Manehattan is mostly earht ponies. Even though many people seem to think Canterlot as unicorn city we still lack a city that clearly has unicorn majority. Maybe we will see that in the future?

Watching the episodes where Canterlot is shown it seems like it’s quite equally both earth ponies and unicorns. It’s really hard to say which ones are pegasi as many ponies seem to wear clothes which cover the wings. Some ponies also wear hats making it hard to figure if they have horns.

If the show starred these 6, then the Spike shippings would have featured a lot of horn sucking. Yeah, allow me to put this into your head, spike on his knees, sucking one horn, then stroking 2 other horns, while 3 more are jacking off thier own horns waiting their turn.
