This is simply a crackship that I create art of for my own enjoyment, along with the few others who like the ship. Whether or not you think this ship makes even a lick of sense really depends on your headcanon on Sombra’s personality and backstory. So pay no mind to me as I sit in my own little corner of the playroom and mutter to myself as I play with dolls.

Well to be honest, Discord is portrayed that way because Q wasn’t really that much of a macho-man archetype and being “pussified” doesn’t really affect him since the gender role of a man and woman is clearly beyond him. And Spike is a little boy being raised be feminine ponies. However i could see some malebashing when portraying Big Mac and Bulk Biceps in Filly Vanilli and Rainbow Falls.

I believe the story for Keep Calm and Flutter On was created by a brony that had connections to the staff. That and because of fan popularity he was probably already destined to come back.
 
Also, if you look at the dynamic between Discord and Fluttershy as it currently stands, it is much closer to the Spike and Rarity dynamic than anything a pegasister would come up with. Check out any media created for teenaged girls if you want to know what I mean.
 
The relationship between Discord and Fluttershy would be the opposite if it was a pegasister thing. Fluttershy would be the one pining over Discord while Discord is completely oblivious doing his own thing.
 
I actually feel bad for pegasisters who had any interest in shipping. Between Discord being Spike-ified and Shining Armor crying overtly in episode 100, I don’t think there’s much left for them.

I always laugh at the reaction to these kind of ships.
 
They’re just the result of pegasisters existing. It’s a classic thing that girls are super attracted to villains over all types of media. Check any other fandom that has girls contributing to it, like the Harry Potter fandom. You’ll see tons of shipping between the bad guys and good guys.

And the whole “fluttershy ships with villains and reforms them” thing.
 
… And now I want to see someone basically do like how the Fluffle Puff blog has done but with Fluttershy and Chrysalis.

Reason for ship: It’s cute.  
Story: Sombra regenerated after the end of S3 premiere, was caught, then reformed. I think Discord is still reformed in this universe as well, but I can’t remember.

How people even get to the conclusion to write story about this ship?  
So far i seen Sombra with Celestia in Reflections, Sombra with Radiant Hope in Fiendship series and if anything, he was usually shipped with Cadance after tv episode. When was the moment when the artist heard “sombrashy” whispering to his ears? I mean i understand Maud/Trixie, they never met but Trixie WAS working on the rock farm where she lived, people can predict that they would probably spend some time together. However there is no possiblity for Fluttershy to met Sombra offscreen in any way. So I’m guessing that this is an alternate universe where Sombra was reformed instead of Discord.

He’s up to no good Sombra. Get rid of him.
