If a movie is bearing the same title as a previous movie and was intended to be a successor/continuation to said previous one, then it counts as a sequel.
For the longest time, then. I’d also argue that Fantasia 2000 counting as a real sequel is kind of a stretch considering they’re a collection of unconnected shorts without any kind of continuity.
One of the few sequels, actually; there was also Fantasia 2000 and Winnie the Pooh.
Hmmm. Don’t remember that, but it has been significantly longer since I re-watched it than the sequel. (The only sequel in the official disney canon and one of the shining examples of why sequels are not bad things.)
