doesn’t have to be a bad end, just a different universe. Or maybe a good end, where a lot of ponies willingly become changelings because someone solved the need for love problem.

I like to think this is the result of chrysalis and the changelings being able to change their forms so much and taking so much love that it resulted in changeling clones of every pony.
