some writers need editors. heck a lot of pro’s definitely need editors to reign them in or else they go crazy (frank miller is a prominent example of that. he hates when people edit his stuff but when left alone, he makes stuff like all-star batman and robin and holy terror)
The characters can only say what the writers make them say. He should run with it though. It would be hilarious and make her reign even more terrifying because she just demonstrated incompetence.

Sure, if you consider the context it could sound like they were asking her as if it was implied she was a subordinate but even then, to imply that she considers herself an equal or even a superior she could have turned Celestia’s question around and said something like “No, how can I help you” as if she were the one sitting behind the desk and in charge. Her trying to rephrase Celestia’s question the way she did seems redundant to me and makes her come off as a little air-headed or at least a little careless with her words.

actually if you think about the scenario, celestia’s question sounds like they will help hart in a supporting role as equals, hart’s question sounds like celestia and luna will her in a supporting role but she’s in charge.
That’s exactly what Celestia asked:
“How may we help you miss…?”
She’s in a high position and telling others what to do and yet she doesn’t even sound like she understands grammar.
She seems perfect for a position of power, she should run for a seat in government, she would fit right in.
There was both a dean and principal at my middle school.
I’d imagine deans, as they run colleges and schools for rich kids.

seems i was mistaken, there were only talks about changing the school outfits to match those in lucky star BUT the town of saitama gained a massive tourism boost due to lucky star (enough to make the town make the fictional characters honorary citizens)

of course there’s also a chance that a school/county/district might take a visual cue from anime to make them hip/draw in tourists, like that town supposedly changed their school uniforms to match those from lucky star.
