about 2 years ago, when I looked at this little comic, I didn’t really get what they were getting at with the VA and what not. But recently, since me and my parents were receiving VA payments by attending and adult school, the VA once over payed over a third of due payment and ordered us to pay them back. We were lucky that we didn’t put to use any more than that total before we had to we had to pay them. It was a HUGE miscalculation on their part, and I think I understand a little bit of the joke here now.

I haven’t had a reason to go to the Va myself, lucky for that I suppose but I still find this funny… especially with the Army.

This is true and sad. Then again, I’m still in the service. I’m just not overseas anymore.

It’s a little ridiculous when I can’t even get my Navy issued hearing aid replaced. I’m more used to being deaf anyway. xD

I was going to inquire your and his colour, but I assume it only somewhat contributed. Civies seem to have a harder time with race issues. Not to say I’m military. ^_^

I think it has a lot to do with what region you’re in.  
I’ve had really good luck with the VA here in the North-East (New York) but a friend of mine struggles to get anything done down on the Gulf Coast (Louisiana).

it’s because they’re a broken, obtuse system that seems to care little for the soldiers they’re supposed to.

Wait. Veteran Affairs? Is it because of the lack of support after tours of duty?
