Why do I keep seeing this question no matter how many times it gets answered, it’s either magic or more likely they are hollowed out gems/artificial gems that can just have a photo slipped into them, I used something similar at a wedding.
My current guess is that they used that memory projection spell Trixie had and stored the images as a series of looping gifs inside the crystals.
I think they were photographs. The “gems” were all bought from a crafts store and are probably fake. Rarity threaded a needle through them!
Either that or some kind of enchantment.
