I like how the main reason the Anti-Ship Sword in Gundam SEED had a physical blade with beam edge (as opposed to traditional full beam sabers) was because normal beam sabers wouldn’t look impressive in this pose.
Masami Ōbari and the various weapon poses done well, paid homage and parodied over the years.

I am unable to see what you think is wrong, for me this pic has no problems.
I made both, but decided to add focus for Derpi. Figured it would hide some mistakes and maybe nobody would point them out this time.
Yeah, without the focus it’s easier to tell the perspective is pretty wonky here.
are you saying the “unfocused” effect is not your work to make the “obari” more believable?
The original version in the source is unfocused.

I’m just saying, when it’s got a number of names then using one for ONE image is pointless…
